In July 2024, the Southeast Louisiana Aquarium Society (SELAS) and the Oklahoma Betta Breeders Association (OBBA) hosted both the Federation of Texas Aquarium Societies (FOTAS) annual convention and the annual convention of the International Betta Congress.
